Day 01: Flight to India
(Chennai)
Around midnight arrival in Chennai. Upon arrival, you
will be met by our representative and transferred to the
hotel.
Day 02: Chennai - Bangalore (by air)
In the morning flight to Bangalore. In Bangalore, you
will visit the Bull temple, Gowda Fort, Vidhan Sabha and
downtown commercial centre.
Day 03: Bangalore - Mysore
In the morning drive to Mysore via Srirangapatnam, once
the capital of Mysore. Visit fort, Tipu Sultan's palace,
Maharaja Palace and the Gombaz and Chamundi Hill,
Brindavan gardens.
Day 04: Mysore - Halebid - Belur
Today you will visit the City Palace. Drive to Halebid.
In Halebid visit the Hoysalesvara Temple. Drive to Belur.
In Belur, visit the group of Chennakesava Temple.
Day 05: Belur - Coonoor
Drive to Coonoor. Check in the hotel. Visit Sims Park,
tea estates, Lamds Rock. Relax in the picturesque
surroundings of Coonoor.
Day 06: Coonoor - Cochin
Drive to Cochin. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 07: Cochin
Visit Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Bolghatty
palace, Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church and
Santa Cruz Church, Kathakali classical dance recital.
Day 08: Cochin - Kumarakom
Drive to Kumarakom. In Kumarakom enjoy the Boat ride
trip through the tropical vegetation on the backwaters.
Day 09: Kumarakom
The whole day is today at leisure.
Day 10: Kumarakom - Periyar
Drive to the Periyar National Park and have a Boat ride
on the lake of Periyar. After the Boat ride drive
through the Park.
Day 11: Periyar - Madurai
Drive to Madurai. Visit Meenakshi Temple, bazaars.
Day 12: Madurai - Trichy
Visit Tirumalai Nayaka Palace, Gandhi Museum. In the
afternoon drive to Trichy. Visit Rock Fort, Shiva and
Ganesha temple.
Day 13: Trichy - Tanjore
In the morning drive to Tanjore. Visit Brihasdisvara
Temple, Ranganathasvami Temple.
Day 14: Tanjore - Mahabalipuram
Drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit Gangaikonda
Cholapuram and Chidambaram Natraja (Dancing Shiva)
temples. In Mahabalipuram visit some of the 14 cave
temples and 9 monolithic rathas (temple chariots),
Arjuna's penance.
Day 15: Mahabalipuram - Chennai
Drive to Chennai. In the afternoon visit the Fort of St.
George, High Court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach and Snake
Park and the St. Mary's church.
Day 16: Chennai (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
